Scan (AR fact-check)

Point your camera at a headline, article or screenshot. The app reads the text on-screen, extracts the checkable claims and shows an AR verdict badge with an evidence-based, hedged assessment. No sign-in needed to try it.

HOW TO USE

Allow camera access, then frame the headline or paragraph you want checked.
Tap capture — the text is read and each claim is assessed as TRUE, MISLEADING, FALSE or UNVERIFIED.
Read the coloured verdict badge, the confidence and the evidence.
Tap "Full breakdown" for the claim-by-claim view, bias read and emotional-language score.
Free checks are limited — go premium for unlimited checks.

Tip: Good lighting and a steady, straight-on shot help the camera read the text far more accurately.

Good to know: AR News & Fact Checker gives an AI-assisted assessment, not a definitive ruling. It reads the claim and its language, never a person's character. Always verify against primary sources before you share.
