AR News & Fact Checker
by Archana Info Solutions
Scan & OCR · Claim verdicts · Bias & emotion read · Trending fakes

Check before you share — read the claim, not the noise.

Point your camera at a headline, article or screenshot — or paste the text. The app reads it, extracts the checkable claims and returns an evidence-based, hedged assessment: a claim-by-claim verdict, a bias read and an emotional-language score, shown as an AR verdict badge. Try a check free, no sign-in needed.

AI-assisted assessment, not a definitive ruling. Always verify against primary sources.

What this is

A calmer way to read the news

AR News & Fact Checker reads a headline, article or screenshot with your camera — or the text you paste — and pulls out the checkable claims. For each claim it returns an evidence-based, hedged verdict (true, misleading, false or unverified) with the reasoning, plus a bias read and an emotional-language score that flag loaded or manipulative wording. Every verdict assesses the claim and its language, never a person's character. It is an AI-assisted assessment, not a definitive ruling — always verify against primary sources before you share.

How it works

From a headline to a hedged verdict

Scan or paste

Point your camera at a headline, article or screenshot, or paste the text. No sign-in needed to try it.

The text is read

Vision OCR reads the words on the page and the app pulls out the specific claims that can actually be checked.

Each claim gets a verdict

Every claim is assessed as true, misleading, false or unverified, with a confidence figure and the evidence behind it.

Read the bias & tone

A bias read and an emotional-language score flag loaded or manipulative wording so you can weigh the framing.

See the AR badge

A coloured verdict badge appears over the camera view so the assessment sits right on top of what you're reading.

Verify, then share

Treat the result as a starting point. Follow the reasoning, check the primary sources, then decide whether to share.

The four pillars

Everything you need to read critically

Scan & OCR

Point your camera at a headline, article or screenshot and the app reads the text on the page, so you can check what you're actually looking at.

Claim-by-claim verdicts

Each checkable claim gets an evidence-based, hedged verdict — true, misleading, false or unverified — with a confidence figure and the reasoning.

Bias & emotion read

A bias read and an emotional-language score flag loaded or manipulative wording, so you can separate the facts from the framing.

Trending fakes

A curated feed of widely-circulated claims assessed as misleading or false, with a short explanation, to help you spot the pattern next time.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is a verdict a definitive ruling?

No. AR News & Fact Checker gives an AI-assisted, evidence-based assessment to help you read more critically. It is not a legal or authoritative ruling and it can be wrong. Always verify against primary sources before you rely on or share a claim, and you can flag a verdict you disagree with.

Does it judge people?

No. Every verdict assesses the claim and the language used, never a person's character. The bias and emotional-language reads describe the framing of the text, not the honesty of anyone who wrote or shared it.

Do I need to sign in to try it?

No. You can scan or paste a claim and get a fact-check without an account, up to the free limit. Create a free account to save your history and search it, and unlock unlimited checks with premium.

Where does the camera image go?

A single captured frame is sent to read the text on the page and assess the claims. You control when the camera is on, and you can paste text instead if you'd rather not use the camera at all.

What if I think a verdict is wrong?

On the full breakdown there's a way to disagree and report a verdict. The tool errs toward "unverified" when the evidence is thin, and shows its confidence, so you can weigh how much to trust each result.
