Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create my first AI agent?

Creating your first AI agent is simple. Navigate to the Agents page from your dashboard and click + New Agent. Choose a name, select the primary language (Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, or Kannada), pick a voice gender and tone, then define the agent's personality traits. You can test the agent immediately using the built-in simulator before deploying it to live calls. The entire setup takes under 5 minutes.

Setting up Telugu language support

VoiceIQ AI has native Telugu support with both formal and conversational dialects. When creating or editing an agent, select Telugu as the primary language. You can enable mixed-language mode (Telugu + English) for natural code-switching. The AI understands Romanized Telugu input and can respond in Telugu script or transliterated text. Emotion detection works accurately across all Telugu dialects including Telangana and Andhra variations.

Understanding emotion detection scores

Every call is analyzed in real-time for emotional cues. The system tracks six primary emotions: happiness, frustration, anger, confusion, satisfaction, and urgency. Each emotion receives a score from 0 to 100. The overall Sentiment Score is a weighted average displayed on the call detail page. Scores below 40 trigger automatic alerts to supervisors. You can customize alert thresholds and which emotions to monitor from the Settings page.

Connecting WhatsApp Business API

Go to Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp and enter your WhatsApp Business API credentials (Instance URL and API Token). VoiceIQ AI uses the 1msg.io gateway for reliable message delivery. Once connected, call summaries, transcripts, and emotion reports are automatically sent to designated WhatsApp numbers after each call. You can also configure WhatsApp-triggered callbacks where customers message a keyword to receive an AI call.

Importing contacts for campaigns

Navigate to Contacts → Import and upload a CSV or Excel file with columns for Name, Phone, Email, and any custom fields. The system validates phone numbers automatically and removes duplicates. You can also paste contacts directly or import from your connected CRM. Once imported, contacts are available to add to any outbound campaign. Tag contacts with custom labels for easy segmentation and targeting.

Reading call analytics reports

The Reports page provides comprehensive analytics including total calls, average duration, resolution rate, emotion trends, and agent performance. Use the date range picker to filter data by day, week, month, or custom period. Click any metric card to drill down into detailed breakdowns. Export reports as PDF or CSV for stakeholder presentations. The AI-powered insights section highlights patterns and suggests optimization recommendations automatically.

Upgrading or downgrading your plan

Visit Billing → Plans to see all available tiers. Click Upgrade or Downgrade on your desired plan. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing for the remainder of the current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle to ensure you retain access to premium features until then. All your data, agents, scripts, and call history are preserved regardless of plan changes.

Troubleshooting call quality issues

If you experience audio quality issues, first check your internet bandwidth (minimum 1 Mbps recommended per concurrent call). Go to Settings → Diagnostics to run a network test. Common fixes include: enabling the low-bandwidth codec option, reducing concurrent call limits, and ensuring your firewall allows WebRTC traffic on ports 10000-20000. For persistent issues, contact our support team with the call ID for detailed packet-level analysis.

Exporting call transcripts

Open any call from the Calls or Transcripts page and click the Export button. Choose from PDF (formatted with speaker labels and timestamps), plain text, or JSON format. For bulk exports, use the checkbox selection on the Transcripts list page and click Export Selected. Transcripts include the original language text, English translation, emotion markers, and key moments flagged by AI. Exports are also available via the API for automated workflows.

Setting up outbound campaigns

Go to Campaigns → New Campaign. Name your campaign, select the AI agent, assign a call script, and choose a contact list. Set the schedule (date range, calling hours, timezone, and max concurrent calls). Enable retry rules for unanswered calls and configure the disposition categories. Preview the campaign flow with a test call before launching. Track real-time progress from the campaign dashboard with live metrics for connection rate, average handle time, and conversion outcomes.
