AR Field Engineer is a maintenance and repair assistant for field-service teams. Every machine you service carries a QR label. An engineer scans it and the app loads that equipment — its schematic renders as an orbit-controlled 3D model with an optional AR overlay, and its maintenance manuals come along too. Enter the symptom and any error codes and the AI reads the manual excerpt to propose a diagnosis, likely causes, checks and step-by-step repair actions. From there you can search your spare-parts inventory (with AI part suggestions), record what you did into a job report with a downloadable PDF job sheet, and start a live video call with a remote expert when a fault needs a second opinion — all from the job site.

Is the AI diagnosis a certified assessment?

No. The AI reads the machine's manuals and your symptom and error codes to suggest a likely diagnosis and repair steps. It's decision support for a qualified engineer — always verify with your own inspection and the machine's manual, and follow all safety and lock-out procedures.

What exactly is the AR schematic?

It's a 3D schematic of the machine that you can orbit and zoom in any modern browser. On an AR-capable Android/Chrome browser, an optional overlay places it in your workspace. It's a visualisation aid to help you orient the schematic, not a certified twin of the physical machine.

How does the equipment QR scanning work?

You print a QR label for each machine from the Equipment page and stick it on the equipment. In the field the engineer scans it with the phone camera and the app loads that exact machine, its schematic and its manuals — no typing serial numbers.

Do I need special hardware or an app?

No. AR Field Engineer runs in a modern mobile browser and installs as a PWA — no headset, no app store. The 3D schematic and camera QR scan work on ordinary phones; the immersive AR overlay is an optional extra where the browser supports it.

How does the expert video call connect?

The call runs browser-to-browser using a public STUN relay. It works on most networks, but very strict or symmetric company networks may block a direct connection — in that case a mobile hotspot usually helps, and a dedicated relay is on our roadmap.
